Band Booster President Message:
RE: Paulding Meadows
1. We need more parents to sign up for Paulding Meadows. Please contact Jeff Dillard, dilhunt@bellsouth.net regarding the specific time slot available for which you are willing to work.
2. Please buy your tickets from the band prior to Paulding Meadows, the cost is $2.00 per ticket. Tickets will increase to $3.00 the day of the event. Your (band) child does not need a ticket -- but you (as the parent and/or non-band siblings) will need a ticket to gain access to enter Paulding Meadows (no entrance without a ticket). The band kids will be performing, so workers will be needed in addition to the band kids (band kids will be unavailable to work during their perfermance and brief rehearsal period on Saturday).
3. Most immediate need: We are in need of giant plastic totes for Paulding Meadows and tables which we can borrow for the event. We will need the tables to work from; and will need the totes to store supplies during Paulding Meadows. Your help in supplying these needs is greatly appreciated. Handbook Revised and Published on Charms
It has been brought to my attention that there were two schedules circulating with our handbook. If you received the schedule in the handbook as part of a packet it should be correct, but if it was printed on the reverse side of the football schedule then it is most likely incorrect.
The correct schedule was handed out at the Rookie Meeting in April, but we passed out the other copy to the veterans who did not need all of the pages of the handbook at that time.
The mistake was that our change for Thursday night practice until 6:30 was not published in the veteran schedule. Our computers froze up and deleted our revised copy and I left this change off when I re-revised it for the Veteran meeting. Please visit charms to print off another handbook if you wish.
I appreciate everyone's patience as we correct this mishap.

Senior Announcement for the Athletic Program

As a reminder our regular rehearsal schedule is as follows:
Monday: Colorguard and Percussion from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Tuesday: Full Band (All Members) 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Wednesday: Winds Only 3:45pm - 6:00pm
Thursday: Full Band (All Members) 3:45pm - 6:30pm
Friday Morning of Game Days: 8:00am - 8:20am
There has been a couple of things clarified from the original schedule posted in the band handbook. SATURDAY REHEARSAL HAS BEEN MOVED: Saturday, September 19 has been changed to Saturday, September 26 because we have decided to attend our first marching competition on Saturday, October 3. The time for the rehearsal (9.26) is 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Remember to KEEP COMPETITION DAYS completely OPEN. We tend to report early to help focus students, warm-up, and work on last minute details before the competition and will definitely stay until after the awards ceremony which will not begin until after 9:00pm. The dates for potential competitions are 10.3, 10.10, and 10.17.
CORRECTION: The Paulding County Band Competition is on September 22, but that day is a Tuesday not a Monday.

Rehearsals Week of 8/10/09 (UPDATED)
A Reminder of the Full Band Rehearsal Schedule:
Monday (8/10) through Wednesday* (8/12) from 6pm - 9pm.
Friday (8/14) the rehearsal is from 8am - 12pm.
Spirit Night is Friday (8/14) from 6pm - 9pm.
Fundraiser at Stars & Strikes Friday (8/14) from 9p - 12am (the cost is now $35 per participant)
(Wednesday, 8/12, is the last day to pay, this is a pre-pay event only.)

Uniform Hemming: Plea for help TODAY
Parents who can help Margie Cunningham, Uniform Chair, with hemming of the uniforms are asked (begged) to meet this afternoon (Wednesday: 8/5/09) at 5p after bandcamp (when you pick up your child) in the Uniform Room (which is located to the right of the entrance as you enter the band room from the outside door) to take 3 or 4 pair of uniform pants home to hem.
