Leadership Questions
If you would like to be considered for student leadership next year please answer the following questions in a concise essay on leadership.
1. How would someone else describe your leadership style? What are your leadership strengths and weaknesses?
2. Tell me about a time when you created agreement and shared purpose from a situation in which all parties originally differed in opinion, approach, and objectives.
3. As a leader within our organization you will have to build support for goals and projects from your peers, people over whom you really have no authority. Tell me about a situation in which you demonstrated that you can build the needed support.
4. What are the most important values and ethics that you demonstrate as a leader? Give me examples of how you demonstrate this.
5. How do you motivate others?

Year in Review DVD!
Jeffery Morris has been gracious enough to create another EPIC year in review DVD for us this year. I have order forms in my office, but please read a note from Mr. Morris:
"I'd prefer people order online if possible. Currently, tax and shipping are included. After the pre-order deadline, the price will go to $40 instead of $30 and tax and shipping will be added.

Spring Musical
Dear pit orchestra members,
Thank you very much for the time that you have committed to the learning your music for the spring musical. Unfortunately, there is not enough time to coordinate the music with the production. Due to the time restraints that we are faced with we will not be performing the musical. I am proud of all of you for giving your time to learning your music and giving it your best. This is disappointing for all of us involved, but is in the best interest of the production.
I appreciate the commitment that you have made. Yes, we have had some frustrating rehearsals - but I mean it when I tell you that I am very proud of you. The music is extremely challenging, far more challenging than anything that we have ever attempted and the demand of the coordination between the actors and orchestra is extremely high.
I know that many of you made huge sacrifices for this musical. Even though we will not be performing live we did learn some very valuable lessons during the process and gained experiences that some of us may never have the opportunity to experience again.
I wanted to wait to tell you until Monday morning, but after thinking about it and knowing you guys as well as I do, I wanted you to know as soon as possible so that you do not have to spend time this weekend practicing the music. I want you to enjoy your weekend, take a look at the music for our concert on Tuesday and be prepared to hit the ground running on Monday. Maybe we all can enjoy the lock-in a little more on Friday knowing that we can really sleep in on Saturday :)

Dinner Concert
The Spaghetti Dinner Concert is quickly approaching, it is next Tuesday, April 19 starting at 6 p.m. Students were given an RSPV form in their band class today describing cost of admission and what items we are looking to be donated. Each class is responsible for bringing in specific items to help reduce cost of the dinner. This form has also been uploaded into Charms so that you can access it from home if you need a replacement. We are requesting that this form be turned in by the end of this week so that our Hospitality Committee can determine how much food to prepare.
On Monday, April 18, we have a scheduled "Dress-Rehearsal" for our concert bands:
Wind Ensemble - 3:45-4:15, Symphonic Band - 4:15-4:45, and Concert Band - 4:45-5:15.
Also, our annual lock-in at Stars and Strikes has been MOVED to Friday, April 22 from midnight to 6 a.m. Cost for admission in advance is $35 and admission at the door is $45.
