All-State Audition Info
Seventeen students from South Paulding High School will represent Paulding County Schools at the state round of the Georgia Music Educators Association All-State auditions on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Houston County High School! Congratulations to Shannon Crawford, F Horn; Chandler Dickerson, Trumpet; Natalie Forte, Alto Saxophone; Cody Graham, Alto Saxophone; Garrett Johnson, Alto Saxophone; Ra Sheed Lemon II, Trumpet; Jonas Lutz, F Horn; Johnathan McGhee, Bassoon; Amber Mealer, Euphonium; Olivia Morris, Clarinet; Alante Powell, Alto Saxophone; Jarrett Prince, Trumpet; Tony Smith, Trumpet; Blake Soverns, Flute; Allison Webb, F Horn; Katie Webb, Flute; and Kyle Willoughby, Flute. We wish you the best of luck on Saturday and are very proud of you!

From Atlanta Area:
South on I - 75 South on I – 475 By Pass (check travel advisories due to construction on 475.)
Exit 142 SR 96 Housers Mill Road.
East on 96 about 4 miles and Houston County High is on the right.
Parking is in the front of the building, west side and behind the school. The front will fill up quickly.
Students received audition times during class. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your audition time to register. It was stated that if you are late for registration you could be moved to the end of the day to audition! Registration does not open until 8:30am, please do not arrive before then. Most importantly, take a deep breath, perform a sensible warm-up, do not get into a competition in the warm-up room, take another deep breath, and go HAVE FUN! It will be over before you know it so do your best to enjoy every moment. Remember that you are the best musician in that room when you are performing and give it your best shot! You can do it! After all, what do you have to lose? Good luck!
