Trip Announcement

Hi Everyone,

This week we had the pleasure of announcing that the Spirit of South Paulding will be traveling to Hawaii in February of 2019 to perform at Pearl Harbor.  We are so proud of our students for being selected for this opportunity.  The trip will include activities such as touring the U.S.S. Bowfin, a clinic with the Band Director from the University of Hawaii, hula lessons, catamaran rides, sightseeing, and more.  

We are so excited about this opportunity for our students and look forward to sharing more information about this trip on Tuesday, February 6th, in the South Paulding High School Band Room at 6:30 PM.  This trip will be available to all 2018-2019 members of the Spirit of South Paulding (including our current 8th grade students).  Please take time to attend the meeting on February 6th.  We will discuss the itinerary for the trip, the cost structure, the payment schedule, fundraising opportunities, and answer any questions you may have.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Hi Everyone,

Don't forget - our Cookie Dough Fundraiser is still going on!  We have extended the deadline to February 1st.  The proceeds from this fundraiser do go directly towards student fees.

Rehearsal Tomorrow

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to let you know that we do plan to rehearse tomorrow with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Winterguard. The schedule for the day will remain the same with the exception of the Winterguard. Tomorrow's Winterguard rehearsal will take place from 9 AM to 1 PM.

While the roads should be clear in the morning, safety comes first! Students who cannot safely travel to the school tomorrow should email us at director@spiritofsouthpaulding.org and let us know.

All State Band Audition Results

Good Morning,

Congratulations to all of our students who auditioned for the GMEA All State Band. It is a tremendous honor just to be accepted to the 2nd round of auditions.  Your work and dedication is incredibly impressive.  We are very proud of every single one of you.

After a very competitive audition process, we are proud to announce that two of our students have been accepted to the 2018 Georgia Music Educator's All-State Band.  Please join us in congratulating the following two students:

2nd Round All State Band Audition Information

Hi Everyone!

We are very proud of our students who auditioned and were excepted to the 2nd round of auditions for the GMEA All-State Band.  This is a HUGE honor in of itself.

The 2nd round of auditions takes place at Houston County High School this Saturday, January 6th.  Here is the address for Houston County High School:

Please plan to arrive an hour before your child's audition time so that they will have an adequate amount of time to warm up.  It is very important that your child auditions at the time they are scheduled to audition.  We have provided audition times to students throughout the day today.  That being said, please contact me directly if you have questions about your child's audition time.
