8th Grade Night Information

Dear 8th Grade Band Students,

Thank you for your interest in our 8th Grade Band Night on August 26th, 2016!  As previously mentioned we have a wonderful band family here at South Paulding High School and we are excited to share this opportunity with you.

You will be receiving an 8th Grade Night T-Shirt that will help show your support of your band program.  Please wear blue jeans and this t-shirt to the game.  All 8th grade band students will receive free admission to the game as well as a free dinner for attending.  Just be sure to be sure to bring your instruments so that you can perform with us in the stands and be here on time so that you can march in with us and participate in all of the festivities.

Here is the itinerary for that evening:
  • 5:15PM Arrive in the SPHS Band Room to be greeted by the section leaders
  • 5:30PM All students prepare for the game
  • 6:00PM Uniform Check and Section Warm-up on patio
  • 6:15PM Full Band Warm-up and Stands Tune Practice on Patio
  • 7:00PM March into the stadium
  • Approx. 8:30PM Half-time performance
  • Approx. 9:30PM Conclusion of the game
Please invite your family and friends to the game.  Tickets are $7.00 and can be purchased at the gate.  During 3rd Quarter the band takes a break from playing in the stands and our concession stand feeds the band.  We will provide you with a free hamburger or hotdog and chips during this time.  In order to get an accurate count, please indicate your choice of hamburger or hotdog when you fill out the 8th Grade Night Form

We will have all of the music that you will need here with us.  All you need to bring is your instrument!

This is going to be a fun filled night! We look forward to seeing you on August 26th!
