Hi Everyone,
We are so excited for the month of October! Here is everything you need to know for the
next two weeks!
10/6 – Away at New Manchester.
This is also a Digital Learning Day.
Students will need to make their way to the school at the conclusion of
the school day. Please plan to have them
here by 4:00 PM. We will eat / change /
load and depart for New Manchester by 5:30 PM.
It is New Manchester’s Homecoming, so we are anticipating doing a
Post-Game performance. This will put us
back to SPHS a little later than normal because it will take some time to load
equipment at the conclusion of the game.
We anticipate being back to SPHS by 11:45.
10/9 – Paulding County Band Exhibition
Below is our schedule for the Paulding County Marching Band
Exhibition on Monday, October 9th. This year the Marching Band Exhibition
will be at Paulding County HS.
Monday, October 9th - Paulding County Marching Band Exhibition - $5
General Admission (Children 3 and under are free, middle school band students
are also free). PCSD Employees do get in free with their badge. Cash and
Card Payments are accepted at the gate.
3:30 PM - Students Eat in the Commons
4:00 PM - Students change and load busses
4:30 PM - Depart for Paulding County High School
5:30 PM - Mass Band Rehearsal
6:30 PM - Exhibition starts
9:00 PM - South Paulding Performs
9:45 PM - Depart for SPHS
10:00 PM - Arrive at SPHS
10/10 – 2-hour early release.
Marching Band Rehearsal from 2:45 – 5:30. Students should plan to stay
after school for a mandatory study hall on Tuesday directly at the conclusion
of the regular school day. We will then
rehearse from 2:45 – 5:30.
10/12 – Regular Rehearsal
10/13 – BYE WEEK. No Football
Game. Cheese Fundraiser Due!
10/14 – Band Contest at New Manchester HS
We are excited for
our first band contest of the year at New Manchester. Here is the
schedule and information for our contest on October 14th:

Tickets for anyone
over than age 12 are $10, kids 5-12 are $5, and kids under 5 are free.
**New Manchester does charge at $5 parking fee, so we encourage you to
carpool!** Also, the DCSS has a "clear bag" policy that will be
in effect for this event.

8:30 AM - Practice begins at SPHS
11:15 AM - Rehearsal Ends
12:45 PM - Leave South Paulding High School
1:30 PM - Arrive @ New Manchester HS
2:20 PM - Warm - Up
3:00 PM - South Paulding Performs
4:20 PM - Awards Ceremony
5:15 PM - Depart NMHS
6:00 PM - Arrive @ SPHS
