Good Morning Everyone,
So much information for this week! Here is everything you need to know:
1. Our football game for this week has been moved to Thursday. We will play East Paulding High School at South Paulding High School this Thursday, October 24th, at 7:30 PM. Students (non-seniors) should plan to be here and in uniform no later than 6 PM. Seniors should plan to be here by 5 PM. Seniors will receive 2 complimentary tickets for the game. More information for Seniors below.
Here is our schedule for seniors for Senior Night:
5:00 PM – Seniors meet in the commons area for our Senior Dinner.
6:00 PM – Sectionals for 9th – 11th grade members.
6:30 pm - Seniors and Senior Parents begin to move down to the football stadium and line up alphabetically by last name for the ceremony. The line will form near the pavilion on the home side.
6:45 pm – Senior Night ceremony begins.
2. We are modifying our rehearsal schedule for this week due to the game moving. We are rehearsing:
Monday - 3:45 PM - 6 PM
Tuesday - 3:45 PM - 6:30 PM
FRIDAY - 3:45 - 6 PM

4. Our cheese fundraiser is due back in on Thursday!
5. Our annual SPHS Band Costume Contest is next Tuesday (October 29th) during practice. We have shared with students that they must be able to practice in whatever they are wearing to practice. We have also shared with them that they may NOT wear their costumes to school, only to band practice. PARENTS – if you are participating in the Trunk or Treat for the band after practice, please plan to be here and be set up by 5:30 in the parking lot in the bus loop. Many have reached out to ask – we have 145 in the band this year. I’ve also been asked to share with you that this event is only for members of the band (younger siblings are OK to participate as well.) For those who are planning to pick their kids up afterwords... we anticipate everything being finished around 6:30 PM.
5. We compete this weekend in Rome at Barron Stadium! Here is the schedule and information:
Admission is $10 for anyone aged 6 or older. Children 5 and under are free.
Saturday October 26th - Band Contest - Peach State Marching Festival

12:45 PM - Practice begins at SPHS

4:45 PM - Leave South Paulding High School
6:05 PM - Arrive @ Barron Stadium
7:05 PM - Warm - Up
8:00 PM - South Paulding Performs
9:30 PM - Awards Ceremony
10:30 PM - Depart Barron Stadium
11:45 PM - Arrive @ SPHS

Parking is very limited at the stadium, so we recommend parking at the 3rd Avenue Parking Deck located at 131 W 1st St, Rome, GA 30161. This deck is an 8 minute walk to the stadium, but they also offer a free shuttle service.
