Yesterday around this time of day we received an invitation to perform in the Children's Health Care of Atlanta Christmas Parade that is held in Downtown Atlanta on December 4, 2010. I am excited about this opportunity for our students. More information will be presented at our booster meeting Monday evening at 7:00pm in the band room.
Because this directly conflicts with the Paulding Christmas Parade, I called our local parade committee and asked their blessing before confirming our appearance in Atlanta.
As is tradition for our band when we perform in the Dallas parade we will all wear Santa Hats in addition to our uniform. The Santa hat should be the traditional hat. Colorguard wears a knit cap (toboggan. I will have a demo cap and instructions on where to find it at the booster meeting.

Also - we have our Annual Chili Cook Off quickly approaching. Ms. Haley and Ms. Dickerson are heading this task for us. We ask that the following group of students provide these items to help keep the cost low of the event. Concert Band Winds - Paper Bowls, Symphonic Band Winds - 2 2-litre drinks of your choice, Wind Ensemble Winds - Cups, Guard and Percussion - Desserts.
