Hello! I hope your summer is going well!
I have been receiving numerous e-mails regarding the calendar. I just wanted to send an update to be sure that I have communicated this clearly as distributed with the handbook in May and announced 2 months prior.
We are continuing with our traditional camp dates - 3 weeks prior to the start of school. Guard and Rookie camp are the entire week of July 11 from 9:00am - 3:00pm (Required for all colorguard, 1st year marchers, and section leaders). Percussion camp is the entire week of July 11 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm (Required for all percussionists - drumline and pit).
Band camp is the entire week of July 18th from 8:00am - 5:00pm (Required for all members).
Drill rehearsals are the week of July 25th from 6:00pm-9:00pm which is also required for all members.
There have been 2 changes since the publication of the band handbook - percussion camp time change due to Mr. Coheley's availability and the school board changed the date of the county open house form July 28 to August 1. We will have a 6:00-9:00 rehearsal on July 28 and no rehearsal on August 1 in observance of the county calendar change. All of the changes have been reflected on our band calendar which can be accessed by two ways. It is published at the bottom of this page and you can access it by logging into Charms.
Thank you for double checking these dates. They were announced months in advance in an effort to avoid conflicts with vacations, doctor/dentist appointments, etc. I appreciate your dedication to doing what you can to continue to provide the best possible experience for your child.
