I am always amazed at the talent and leadership that we are blessed with at South Paulding High School. It is a blessing and a curse though because it makes deciding on our top students harder and harder! This afternoon our drum major candidates auditioned in front of our leadership candidates and I am happy to report that all of our candidates were very well prepared! Each had a unique salute that they performed before conducting, and they all conducted in front of their peers and me for an opportunity to participate in the live conducting round in front of the Wind Ensemble next Wednesday!
Each of our drum major candidates should keep their heads held high because you represented yourself and the Spirit of South Paulding with your best again today! Congratulations to our top five candidates (Chandler Dickerson, Natalie Forte, Jessica Maxwell, Shelby Rhodes, and Kyle Willoughby) who will have the opportunity to conduct the Wind Ensemble next Wednesday during class.
Our final leadership meeting is Monday, April 29, 2013 where our leadership candidates will help prepare our band room for the new member meeting that evening. Good luck to all of our candidates!
