This week

Just a reminder about the week

• Monday is a FULL BAND rehearsal from 6:00PM - 9:00PM in preparation of Tuesday.
• There is also a Booster Meeting on Monday evening starting at 7:00PM.  We are kicking off the fruit sale fundraiser and the March-A-Thon fundraisers.

• Tuesday is the COUNTY MARCHING EXHIBITION at Hiram HS. The students should remain with me after school.  We are feeding them Chick-fil-a and loading busses at 5:00PM.  I hope to see you all at the Exhibition.  It is the one opportunity to see us and all of the other bands in the county perform our shows.  It is early in the year so many bands will not have a complete show on the field, but we use this to get judges comments that will help us to continue in our preparations for our competitive season.  

All schools perform the National Anthem at 7:00PM and the schedule of bands is as follows: 
7:30PM North Paulding High School 
8:00PM South Paulding High School 
8:30PM East Paulding High School 
9:00PM Paulding County High School 
9:30PM Hiram High School 
Please arrive early to the Exhibition. Admission is $2.00 and middle schoolers get in free with their band shirt : )

• Wednesday is a FULL BAND rehearsal from 3:45PM-6:00PM.  This has been on the calendar since the beginning of the school year.  This will allow all band students to hear judges comments from the exhibition.

• Thursday is a FULL BAND White Out as normal from 3:45PM-6:30PM.  

• Friday we are away at Woodland HS in Cartersville, GA.  Our itinerary for Friday is as follows:
                 5:00PM Report 
                 5:30PM Depart
                 6:30PM Arrive at Woodland HS
                 7:00PM in the Stands
                 7:30PM KICK-OFF
                 10:30PM  (Roughly depending on game) Depart for SPHS

Next week is Fall Break - Just an reminder that we will only meet on Friday and Saturday of that week.

Friday, September 27, 2013:  we will rehearse from 1PM - 5PM before the home game.  Students will remain with the band until after the football game.  

Saturday, September 28, 2013: This is the date of our March-A-Thon.  It is a Saturday rehearsal from 1:00PM - 9:00PM.  We will be in the stadium and doing a few run throughs at the end for our parents. 
There are prizes for the student who receives the most donations as well as for the section with the most donations.  We feed the students and are making food available to the parents this evening as well.  More info on the March-A-Thon will be handed out at the booster meeting.
