Recommended Fluid Intake Levels

Hi Everyone -

Today we were provided an easy way to calculate how much water kids should be drinking during the day to stay hydrated.  We still have kids not properly hydrating during the day.  Please emphasize the importance of this with your kids!

Here's the formula:

Student's Weight divided in half
Subtract 10% of that number
For example:
Student weighs 140 pounds
Half is 70
10% is 7
70-7=63
63 oz a day
