We wanted to remind you about everything happening with the band over the next few weeks.
Auditions
Band class placement auditions are TOMORROW, May 3rd. Audition times are posted in the band room. 8th grade students should check with their band director for their audition time. For more information about auditions and audition requirements, you can CLICK HERE.
Commitment Fees and Paperwork -
Commitment Fees and Paperwork are due for the 2018-2019 Spirit of South Paulding on May 8th. Please remember that fees must be current from the 2017-2018 school year for students to participate in the 2018-2019 school year. No exceptions will be made. Paperwork has been provided to students - additional copies can be found in the band room, or by printing the forms directly from the band handbook. Students who turn in their commitment fee late, owe fees from the past year, or do not turn in their forms by May 8th will not be guaranteed a spot in the Marching Band next year. May 8th is a HARD DEADLINE.
Colorguard New Member Meeting / Band Booster Club Meeting -
We will have a Colorguard New Member Meeting on May 8th @ 6:00 PM in the Band Room.
We will have a Band Booster Meeting on May 8th @ 7:00 PM in the Band Room.
Spring Concert -
Our Spring Concert will be May 15th @ 7:00 PM. Our students are sounding fantastic in class! We can't wait for you to hear them. As per usual, we are wearing our concert uniforms. Students report times are as follows:
Concert Band - 6:15 PM in the Band Room
Symphonic Band - 6:15 PM in the Chorus Room
Wind Ensemble - 6:30 PM in the Band Room
Graduation -
Graduation this year is on May 25th. This is a reminder that 9th, 10th, and 11th grade band members are required to perform at graduation as their final exam. We will have more details on report times and student dress as we get closer to Graduation.
