Hi Everyone!
Quite a bit of important information today.
1 - Thank you SO MUCH to Poplar Springs Baptist for feeding the band last Friday. Our band is so appreciative!
2 - Band Photos have been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 11th. Students must be at school during the day on the 11th to be included in our Band Composite Photo! More information about Band Photos will come home with students TODAY.
3 - Our Colorguard Uniforms are scheduled to be here sometime during the day tomorrow, Thursday the 6th. We will have 37 Uniforms that need to be altered in some way between Thursday and Friday. We need EVERYONE who is willing to help us hem uniforms here at 6:15 PM on Thursday. No experience required, and we can teach you to hem. Those that feel confidant with a sewing machine, please bring one with you. We want to have our Colorguard in Uniform Friday - PLEASE HELP US!
4 - This Friday we play Alexander HS, at Alexander HS. We will leave SPHS at 5:30 PM. Students will be in full uniform on Friday.
5 - Paulding Meadows is this weekend! We look forward to seeing everyone at Earl Duncan Park on Saturday Morning at 8 AM. Our Band performs at 9 AM, and students will be done at 9:45 AM. For those who are new to Paulding Meadows, traffic in the morning can really be an issue. All members of the band must use the Northside Elementary School entrance Saturday morning for the performance. Enter Northside Elementary, drive to the back of the parking lot, and you will see a gate that leads you into Earl Duncan Park. Follow this road until you see our Band Trailers. Please plan on arriving EARLY so that your child is not LATE. For those parents who are not working with the Band for Paulding Meadows, tickets are $3 per person. Students are wearing their CASUAL uniform for our Paulding Meadows performance. If anyone stops you at the Northside Elementary School entrance, just let them know that your child is performing in the band. They will then direct you to the proper location to meet us.
6 - Homecoming Parade. This year, our Homecoming Parade will take place on Tuesday, September 11th, at South Paulding High School. Students will wear their Casual Uniform. Students will change into their casual uniform after school on Tuesday, practice until 6:00 PM, and then stage for the Homecoming Parade that begins at 6:45 PM. The parade will move from Dugan Elementary to SPHS, and conclude with a Pep-rally in the Football Stadium.
