Hi Everyone,
Lots of information for this week!
1 – Band Photos – Band Photos are happening in class Tuesday and Wednesday. Please see the previous emails with information on how to pre-order. We are planning on a make up date for later in the year – I’ll share that information when we have it.
2 – Coca-Cola Fundraiser Wrap Up – Our 20 Ounce Powerade has arrived. You can pick it up tonight at the end of band practice.
3 – Practice Schedule. This week we start our new practice schedule (Monday / Thursday from 3:45 – 7:00). Please note that NEXT week (the week after Labor Day) we will practice Tuesday and Thursday, but that will only happen next week.
4 – Lyres and Flip Folders. We have shared with students that they need to have their lyres and flip folders by next Tuesday (9/8). We do still have flip folders available for sale for $5, but once we run out they will have to purchase from the music store. Please check with your student to make sure they have what they need.
5 – This Friday we travel to Hiram! We do plan to take school buses, but I know we have some parents that would feel more comfortable transporting their own children. That being said, if you would like to transport your own child on Friday you are more than welcome to do so (we just need an email with that information from you by Thursday of this week.) Students who drive will also be allowed to transport themselves, but we will also need an email by Thursday of this week. Students MAY NOT TRANSPORT OTHER STUDENTS (except siblings.)
FYI - Students who do not ride the buses will be responsible for loading their own equipment!
Here is our schedule:
6:30 PM – Students arrive at SPHS. Dinner will be provided!
7:00 PM – Students load equipment and begin to load buses.
7:30 PM – Depart for HHS.
9:30 PM – Arrive back at SPHS
Due to the nature of high school football, our arrival time back to the school is only an estimate. We will ask students to communicate with you electronically when we leave Hiram so you will have a good idea of when we will back.
