Spirit of Atlanta Clinic

I received the following information from Dr. Todd Snead, Executive Director of Spirit of Atlanta Drum Corps and wanted to post the information for all who are interested.  It looks like this event could be a good way to have a very low pressure experience with others interested in drum corps.

Spirit of Atlanta will be holding the Second Annual Audition Information Clinic this Sunday, Nov. 4 at Ola High School. Unlike traditional weekend-long audition camps, this one-day clinic is an educational and stress-free way to learn about drum corps at a fraction of the cost. Most participants enjoyed the event last year and 97% said it gave them an advantage when auditioning for the corps.
This event is open to all sections (brass, percussion, guard, and conductors) and designed to strengthen students’ musical and visual skills, answer questions about the drum corps experience, and the SOA audition process. Our expert staff and friendly members will provide helpful hints on preparing the 2013 Audition Material Packet and insights into what it takes to be a part of SOA. No auditions will take place at this clinic and there is no pressure to audition later. Taking your first step toward drum corps couldn’t be easier – register through the SOA Portal today!
