Please see below for information from the state regarding the postponement of all state band auditions:
Good morning to all of you. Because of the impending snow, accompanied by below freezing temperatures on Friday evening and Saturday morning, we are postponing All-State Band & Orchestra auditions for this weekend. Of course this decision was difficult to make especially since Georgia weather changes from day to day yet we wanted to insure the safety of everyone traveling to Middle Georgia this weekend.
We will be using the implement weather date for All-State auditions of Saturday, January 14 which is next Saturday. Your students' audition times will remain the same as this weekend.
There will be no make up auditions for students that can't attend next Saturday as it would be a logistical nightmare as well as compromise the integrity of our auditions.
The hosts, organizers, and State chairs will be contacting support staff at their appropriate locations for details concerning the postponement and next Saturday's event. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
