Hi Everyone!
I hope that everyone had a tremendous week off of school last week!
First, a bit of good news. Our new concert dresses arrived this morning!!! We are going to do everything in our power to have our students in our concert uniforms on Thursday evening. Parents, please be advised that our concert uniform fee of $20 does need to be taken care of ASAP. FYI - most of our new dresses will need to be hemmed before they are worn. Parents, if any of you have hemming experience (or are willing to learn) and are available we need help during the day tomorrow (TUESDAY 2/25) from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Please bring a needle and black thread, if you have it. No RSVP required - just check in with the front office and let them know that you are here to help the band with concert dresses.
Tomorrow, 2/25, our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band both have rehearsals after school. The Wind Ensemble rehearses from 3:45 - 5:20, and the Symphonic Band rehearses from 5:30 - 7:00.
Also tomorrow, 2/25, we also have a Band Booster Club Meeting in the SPHS Band Room at 7:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
Thursday, February 27th is our Pre-LGPE Concert for our Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Austin and Scoggins Middle School will also be joining us for this concert. Austin Middle School will perform at 6:00 PM, and Scoggins Middle School will perform at 6:30 PM. Our Concert Band will perform at 7:00 PM, with our Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble performing immediately after. Call time for our students will be 6:00 PM. Gentlemen need to remember to bring black dress shoes with black crew socks. Ladies need to remember black dress shoes.
