Drum Clinics
Because marching percussion is completely different from concert percussion, we have scheduled a series of clinics to build upon the foundational skills necessary for contiued success. These clinics are for anyone interested in playing battery percussion (snare - tenors - bass) and will be taught by Mr. Charlie Morgan.
The clinics cost $20.00 each or 4 for $60.00 and are on the following dates:
You can SIGN-UP here. If you'd like the discount please make a payment on November 26th for all of the clinics as a bundle. All checks should be payable to Charlie Morgan.
If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail Mr. Morgan at cmorg1010@gmail.com or Mr. Carr at ccarr@paulding.k12.ga.us. The clinics are open to drummers of all levels - Middle School through High School. Although these clinics are not required of students who wish to participate in next year's marching percussion section at SPHS, it is recommended for all of the percussion students and highly recommeneded for all returning percussion students at SPHS who wish to march with the drum line next year.
Mr. Morgan has been drumming since he was 9. He participated in the music programs rom elementary school through college at the University of Hawaii, and marched eight years in drum and bugle corps. For three of those years he marched as a snare drummer with the Concord Blue Devils, during which the corps won two World Championships, and two High Percussion Awards. He also taught and arranged for the S.S.F. Conquistadors, and the 1st Canadian Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.
